Why I Started Drinking Lemon Water Everyday
Every single day for the past few months, the first thing I do when I wake up is to drink a cup of hot water and squeeze a lemon into. Why?
There are so many health gimmicks out there, literally hundreds and so many of them are severely overpriced.
As someone who has suffered from gut and digestion issues since I was a child, every time I would hear about the new “thing” that really helped those who have gut issues, it was more frustrating when a lot of these things didn’t work for me at all or would lose their effect within a few days.
I finally decided to try lemon water and learned the most important part of incorporating hot lemon water into your routine is consistency. I suggest waiting 15 minutes before consuming anything and drinking it first thing in the morning to get the most benefits. Bonus tip: When I ate something that upset my stomach the night before, I learned to add a dash of baking soda and sea salt to my lemon water because it helps serve as a reset for me.
When I drink the hot lemon water, I can feel my digestive system activating while getting Vitamin C, improving my breath, and help maintain my blood sugar levels naturally.
I didn’t expect to have the amazing results that I have experienced. Not only does it help settle my stomach every single morning, but it allows me to have healthy bowel movements every single day (I know those with gut issues understand how much of a gift this is).
